Catalog description

This course invites students to explore 2D media (drawing, painting, and printmaking) through hands-on practice, observation, and creative thinking. Students develop technical skills while learning how artists use materials, process, and visual language to communicate meaning. The course moves from foundational concepts to more independent creative work, culminating in a multi-week iterative project and a final reflection based on real-world art experiences. This course is designed for beginners and experienced makers alike.
