Catalog description

This is a foundational course designed to enable the student to understand the principles for physical therapy management when treating older adults. Elements include an overview of social, psychological, emotional, and physiological changes that occur with aging, as well as cultural and socioeconomic influences on the senior population. Concepts learned in this course will prepare students to apply the unique aspects of geriatric care in various courses throughout the program.
