Catalog description
This course builds advanced practice skills, with a focus on trauma treatment and crisis intervention strategies, theories, and techniques. Students will strengthen their ability to apply evidence-based therapeutic approaches while developing competencies in trauma-informed are, crisis assessment and intervention and the management of complex clinical presentations. Emphasis is placed on clinical reasoning, professional judgement, ethical decision-making and the integration of research and practice in the delivery of psychological services.
