Catalog description

This course will focus on the priorities, issues and strategies for health policy development and law affecting health policy on a domestic and international basis. The course provides a structured introduction to health issues in the United States and international context. Students will use a conceptual framework to analyze these issues as well as relevant literature of transcultural health care, political, economic, international theories and law to guide clinical practice on a global level. (Seminar and clinical; 15 hours clinical*). *Required for students in the DNP-Executive Leadership & BSN-DNP Leadership Tracks.
