Catalog description

This course focuses on nursing care in the spheres of disease prevention and promotion of health. Concepts of communication across diverse interprofessional partnerships, person-centered care and determinants of health are introduced. Emphasis will be placed on nursing process and clinical judgement in health promotion, disease prevention and prevention of health disparities. Concepts of diversity, equity & inclusion will be explored along with culturally & linguistically responsive communication strategies (3 hrs. class per week, 45 hrs. clinical per session)
