Catalog description

This course provides students completing the Honors Program (Capstone Track) with a collaborative, research-intensive alternative to the traditional thesis. Guided by the Honors Faculty Fellow, students investigate an annual interdisciplinary theme and work together to design a First-Year Honors Seminar to be offered in the following spring. Each participant contributes original research and develops a significant portion of the course while collaborating with peers to create readings, assignments, discussion topics, and co-curricular activities. Through this hands-on process, students gain experience in curriculum design, interdisciplinary inquiry, and peer leadership, while fostering deeper engagement with the Honors community.
