Catalog description

This course serves as a common general education course that introduces students to literary texts and contexts, with content that varies across sections and is drawn from diverse ages, cultures, and genres. This course helps students develop their abilities to understand, interpret, and appreciate literature, and emphasizes close reading, critical analysis, and clear and engaged writing.
