Catalog description

Economics is the study of how people and societies choose when they face scarce resources to produce goods and services. The macroeconomics course analyses the public sector of the economy, focusing on the decision-making process of government. The role of government in solving problems such as market failure, poor information, lack of competition in markets and economic instability is discussed. Aggregates used to measure economic activity as well as the causes of and policy prescriptions for unemployment and inflation are emphasized.
