Catalog description
This course introduces the essential concepts and techniques of back-end web development, focusing on server-side programming, databases, and APIs to create dynamic and secure web applications. Students will learn the basics of server-side languages such as Python, Java, or Node.js, setting up server environments, handling server requests and responses, and interacting with relational and non-relational databases using SQL and NoSQL. The course also covers creating and integrating RESTful APIs. Through hands-on projects and practical exercises, students will gain the skills necessary to design, develop, and maintain robust back-end systems.
