Catalog description
This course covers the basic concepts of carbon chemistry including bonding, aromaticity, nomenclature, spectroscopy, reaction types, and reaction mechanisms. The laboratory is designed to help students develop skills in the basic techniques of experimental organic chemistry. Three hours lecture, four hours laboratory section.
