Catalog description
This course is a comprehensive study of the structure and organization of the cell emphasizing the chemical composition of cellular structures, the relationship between molecular structure and function, cellular metabolism and bioenergetics. The dynamic interaction between cellular organelles and their function with particular emphasis on the mechanisms involved in regulating these activities will be studied. Focus on cell cycle regulation and cell signaling will be included. Three hours lecture, three hours laboratory.
