Catalog description
Prerequisite(s): RLS major or upper-level standing. This course will deal with ways to use the outdoors to facilitate and enrich learning related to the school curriculum. It will also deal with ways to enjoy and protect our natural environment. Some of the skills involved are the use of nature games, compass and map games, conservation projects, natural crafts, field investigations, trail building, and teaching various classroom subjects in an outdoor setting.
