Catalog description

Prerequisite(s): PHP 2105. Prehealth clinical and service-learning activities and professional leadership development. Students engage in supervised professional shadowing, clinical volunteering, and outreach programs that cultivate a deeper understanding of the social dynamics of healthcare through practical, real-world experiences. Reflective assignments, seminars, and evaluations complement the fieldwork to develop competencies in empathy, cultural humility, ethical practice, interprofessional collaboration, and awareness of health disparities. Prerequisite: Prehealth designation and approval of the Prehealth Studies Office or instructor. May be repeated for credit with different experiences and approval
