Catalog description
Prerequisite(s): C- or higher in JOU 2303 or JOU 3372 and JOU 3325 and JOU 3367; and upper-level standing. Students engage in community‑centered strategic communication by developing advertising or public relations campaigns for local partners, transforming professional skills into real‑world deliverables that inform, empower and benefit the public. The course emphasizes research, planning, implementation and evaluation and includes an approved internship in advertising or public relations. This course fulfills the A&S engaged learning requirement.
