Prerequisite(s): Nine semester hours of history or consent of instructor. An in-depth exploration of the history of the status and roles of women in European society from ancient Greece to the early medieval world. Emphasis on the ideas, customs, and laws that affected the lives of women, the roles that women performed, and how women both contributed to and were affected by European culture and society.
