Foundations of Dentistry

Catalog description

Prerequisite(s): Students must have upper-level standing and be a Health Science Studies major or consent of instructor; Either BIO 1105 and 1305, or BIO 1405; and either BIO 1106 and 1306, or BIO 1406; all with grades of C or better. An overview of dental anatomy and essential clinical skills for students aspiring to enter the field of dentistry.  This course combines theoretical knowledge with practical applications to build a strong foundation for understanding oral structures and developing basic dental techniques. Students will be introduced to key concepts and sciences related to dentistry, including anatomy, physiology, pathology, and microbiology.
