Prerequisite(s): C or better in ELC 3335. Geometrical optics, electromagnetic waves, diffraction, interference, polarization, Fourier optics, laser fundamentals, and optical communication basics. Laboratory sessions include semiconductor laser measurement, fiber optic coupling, and Michelson interferometer setup.
