Catalog description

This course provides an introduction to basic economic concepts, models, and tools used in economic analysis.  In order to develop an appreciation for the value of economic analysis, applications are emphasized throughout the course.  Students have the opportunity to apply the tools of economic analysis to a variety of issues including price controls, taxes, poverty, pollution, discrimination, competitive and monopolistic markets, economic growth, inflation and unemployment.  ECO 1305 does not count towards a BBA degree.
