Catalog description
Prerequisite(s): For apparel merchandising and apparel design majors. This course will provide a new student experience related to critical thinking about topics related to spiritual formation in ADM related industries, as it ‘serves’ people; time management; ADM discipline overview, including aesthetic elements and principles of apparel design and merchandising (i.e. value, color, light, line, shape, mass, texture, space, complexity, order, and the Gestalt theory as it relates to design); social responsibility (including charitable foundations, sustainability, spending, etc.); ethical questions (related to such topics as ethical consumption, child labor, pollution, copyrights, environmental protection, etc.); and critical thinking.
