The field of pre-hospital care is an extension of the medical profession. The Emergency Medical Technician is the entry level for emergency response personnel. Successful completion of this course also includes field work experiencing actual emergency situations and will qualify the student for National Registry of EMT’s Testing/Certification which is required by the State of California and the Inland Counties Emergency Medical Agency (ICEMA) to obtain employment as an Emergency Medical Technician-Basic.Prerequisite: Healthcare Provider or Equivalent CPR Card
