28.5 dual instruction flight hours (R-22), 1.5 solo flight hours (R-22), 20 ground instruction hours, provides the initial phase of flight and simulator training towards the completion of the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Private Pilot Certificate, Helicopter category. Topics include preflight procedures, airport and heliport operations, hovering and hover-taxiing, air taxi procedures, normal takeoffs and landings, straight-ahead and 180-degree auto-rotations, flight safety, and post-flight procedures. A valid FAA Second Class Medical Certificate is required
