Explores the cultural, political and economic effects of globalization. Introduces students to anthropological theories of globalization and a global perspective on issues such as environmental sustainability, health, poverty, and warfare. This course uses international media to explore the effects of globalization on traditional societies. Course offered once a year (fall or spring). Prerequisite(s): ANTH 101 or SOCL 101
