Beginning Talmud Survey - Fall 2

Catalog description

On the beginning level the students continue studying a different chapter of the Tractate with the principal Talmudic commentary of Rashi. In addition the students will at times study the commentary of Tosefos (predominant medieval Talmudists) to increase understanding of the text. They also review the chapter being studied thus enriching their Talmudic vocabulary and knowledge. This also improves the students’ familiarity of the Talmud’s logical give-and-take.
