PAUL’S CAPTIVITY EPISTLES

Catalog description

This course offers an in-depth and advanced-level reading of Paul’s letters to the Ephesians, Philippians, Colossians, and to Philemon. Introductory attention is given to reading the letters according to their genre and historical contexts, and how such reading should serve theological study through a hermeneutic of faith. Detailed reading of each letter is theologically oriented, focusing especially on Christology, Soteriology, Ecclesiology, and Ethics.
