Catalog description

The purpose of this course is to explore and develop techniques for an ensemble approach to the performance of Shakespeare’s scenes. To do so, we will experiment with how to connect text and movement. Particular attention will be paid to the early modern r eception of classical oratory and its application to the stage, and to the system of Stanislavsky in terms of how beat analysis may be useful in script analysis.
