Catalog description
Students will focus on the concepts, skills, observations, and attitudes fundamental to professional nursing practice within a framework of clinical decision -making. Emphasis is placed on critical thinking, the establishment of the therapeutic nurse - patient relationship, and the development of the student's comprehension of the physiologic and psychological responses to health and illness. Concurrent course is NURS 310C where fundamental nursing skills are practiced and the lab component is offered. Prerequisites: Admission to the Nursing Program, NURS 200.
