Catalog description

Senior Capstone. Directed independent study. Select musical literature for and prepare a full solo recital of a minimum of 40 minutes duration or half solo recital of a minimum of 20 minutes duration on the student’s principal instrument. Prepare written program with program notes. Prerequisites: Students must obtain permission of Applied Music instructor, apply to the faculty for capstone approval. (2-4 credits) MUSC 441 SENIOR PROJECT Senior Capstone. Prepare an in -depth research paper on musical topic of choice or complete a supervised compositional project. Prerequisites: Students must obtain permission of sponsoring instructor , apply to the faculty for capstone approval.
