Catalog description
A classical treatment of the differential geometry of curves and surfaces in three -dimensional space. Topics include Frenet Frames, the local theory of parameterized curves, regular surfaces, tangent planes, first and second fundamental forms, the Gauss map, parallel transport and the Gauss-Bonnet Theorem. Prerequisite: MATH 251.
