CARE AND PREVENTION OF ATHLETIC INJURIES

Catalog description

Provides students with a broad foundation of sports medicine concepts. While the focus is on injury prevention, students will develop a greater understanding of the terminology and concepts related to acute injury recognition and the care, evaluation and t reatment of common sport and fitness related injuries/conditions. Administrative concepts will also be addressed. Students will learn to demonstrate various taping applications and practice clinical skills. Prerequisite: BIOL 250.
