Catalog description

This course focuses on how countries interact with one another in the short -run determination of output, interest rates, and exchange rates and on capital flows between countries. The course will emphasize the evolution of the world monetary system since 1 945; financial and non -financial theories of short -run fluctuations; and current macro -policy problems of developing countries. Prerequisite: ECON 301.
