WRITING PEDAGOGY

Catalog description

This course exposes students to both classical and contemporary theories of writing pedagogy. It engages these theories analytically from a Catholic liberal arts perspective. It is offered regularly when there are enough students with an interes t in teaching writing professionally. It may also be offered as a DIS as needed. For students interested in composition instruction, composition course design, and writing program administration, COMM 540 may replace COMM 550: Communication Theory and Research with approval of the student’s thesis advisor, the graduate program director, and department chair.
