Catalog description

This course examines the vital role of communication in shaping interpersonal relationships and individual identity. Interpersonal communication is a marketable soft skill that employers value, but it is also much more than that. One’s sense of self emerges in and through communicative engagement with others. This class will cover interpersonal commonplaces such as trust, conflict, and dialogue. Interpersonal virtues like tact, reticence, and discretion may also figure into classr oom discussion. Prerequisite: COMM 200.
