MANAGERIAL OPERATIONS AND STRATEGY

Catalog description

This course focuses on the knowledge, principles, and processes of managing an organization. Students develop the skills needed to identify and analyze past and current strategies and to formulate and implement new strategies for business growth. This cour se presents strategy formulation, resource and capabilities assessment in the context of industry and competitor analysis. General operational concepts such as quality control, capacity analysis, and inventory management are introduced. Topics include mana ging performance and change as well as creating organizational systems. Prerequisite: BUSN 503 or equivalent.
