This course is designed to provide students with an in -depth analysis of current topics and issues in the field of Sports Management. Sports Management is a diverse field that often mirrors traditional business fields. However, there are some unique elements that make sports management significantly different. The purpose of this course is to examine the area of youth sports, interscholastic athletics, intercollegiate athletics, amateur sports, and professional sports in relation to th e current topics and i ssues that each face. Other topics areas, such as motivation, leadership, decision making, problem solving, human resource management, analytical decision making, ethical decision making, and critical thinking skills to identify solutions to current topics and issues in the field of Sports Management.
