Business Law II is designed to survey areas of law that anyone engaged in business should be familiar with but which are not covered in Business Law I. Topics covered include the following: (1) Business Organizations (e.g. Sole Proprietorships and Franchises, Partnerships, Limited Liability Companies and Special Business Forms, Corporations, and Law for the Small Business); (2) Creditor’s Rights and Remedies; (3) Sales of Goods; and (4) Negotiable Instruments. As with Business Law I, the goal of this course will be to introduce students to the basic concepts at the center of each area of law so that they have a grasp of the fundamental principles governing the area when they enter the business world or prepare for the C.P.A. examination. Prerequisites: BUSN 340, ECON 201, ECON 202.
