Catalog description
This course allows students to expand their academic experience in a profit or non-profit firm or organization by strengthening their technical, communication and analytical skills and linking them wit h skills developed on the job. Students enrolled in this course are expected to undertake a job or internship for at least 260 hours; keep a daily journal of their activities at the internship; and write a final report based on the course outlin e provided for this purpose. Prerequisite: Permission of instructor. (Variable credit) BUSN 400 INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS This course introduces students to the following areas: economic environment for overseas operations; governmental policies and programs that affect international business; economic and political philosophies around the world; patterns of government-business relationships; and economic development and business activities in differing political and cultural environments. Junior or Senior standing required. Prerequisite: ECON 201.
