With the cooperation of industry employers, students are given the opportunity to acquire accounting work experience in either a public accounting firm or a private sector organization depending on their current area of interest as well as plans for future employment and anticipated career path. Throughout the internship, the student is expected to apply communication and management skills, as well as technical expertise acquired during his or her coursework.
