Catalog description

Introduction and examination of accounting issues unique to multinational enterprises and international business activity. This course focuses on the accounting issues encountered by business organizations operating in a global environment and allows students to examine how different business environments influence accounting. Students will learn about the diversity of accounting standards and practices in different countries. The course brings into focus the context of accounting information taking into wider account of social, political, economic, natural, and cultural environments. It is suited to students who wish to acquire an international perspective on contemporary issues relating to accounting and finance.
