Overview of the physical, psychosocial, and cultural aspects of the aging process. Addresses disease processes of aging. Exploration of perceptions toward care of the older adult. Other topics will include concepts of health and illness adjusting to loss, care of persons with chronic illnesses and rehabilitative needs, as it relates to the geriatric patient.
