Catalog description

Instruction in the skills necessary to work with DeafBlind people, including children and adults, in educational and residential settings. This course is a ProTactile based course, promoting the importance of touch that is necessary in interacting and working with DeafBlind Persons. This course will include an overview of various roles: intervenors, support service providers, and DeafBlind Interpreting. Interpreting students interested in working with DeafBlinds are encouraged to register. Outside activities are included.
