Catalog description

This course introduces fundamental project management concepts, processes, and knowledge areas and illustrates the guiding principles that drive the management of projects. Focus is placed on identifying strategic direction, meeting stakeholder expectations, and achieving business objectives. Project management knowledge and skills are applied in selecting, defining, and preparing a project plan. Students will select a project and develop a charter, baseline, scope, and comprehensive project management plan. Emphasis is given to project management tools and techniques, ethical decision-making, and critical thinking. Course is only open to students admitted to the Bachelor of Applied Technology (BAT) in Manufacturing Engineering Technology program.
