Audio and Sound Design for Theatre and Events

Catalog description

This course is an introduction to sound design and the use of audio technology for theatrical productions and special events. The broad job description of a production sound designer requires them to be critical and creative using problem solving methods. Each class will consist of a lecture, critical listening of contrasting musical theatre songs, and a practical lab to give students hands-on experience dealing with the challenges of different needs of a script, event, production, and venue space.
