An in-depth exploration of skills necessary for the singer-songwriter/composer and videographer. The home recording environment and techniques related to professional sounding, self-produced recordings for commercial use will be addressed. Topics include home studio design and tools, video techniques to develop content for YouTube and other on-line music video distribution sites, and techniques for songwriting and production styles. Special focus is devoted to all aspects of self-recording including, beat generation (drum loops, midi, drum recording) sampling, and working with studio musicians as well as production/arrangement techniques.
