Special Topics in Systems Analysis

Catalog description

Topics address recently identified current events, skills, knowledge, and/or attitudes and behaviors pertinent to the technology or occupation and relevant to the professional development of the student. This course was designed to be repeated multiple times to improve student proficiency. Containerization and Microservices - This course will introduce students to the skills and knowledge needed to create, deploy, and manage containers utilizing a cloud computing architecture. This knowledge and skill set will be reinforced through labs and lectures where students will demonstrate their understanding of the concepts of building blocks, container runtimes, container storage, networking, and automation deployment. Mobile Device Programming - Programming applications for the mobile device using the Android platform. Topics include application life cycle, mobile hardware limitations, sensors, user interface, and the mobile development environment. The student will develop a complete application for the Android platform.
