Practical, general workplace training supported by an individualized learning plan developed by the employer, college, and student. A capstone experience external to the college for an advanced GIS student in a specialized field. This is a practical, general workplace training experience supported by an individualized learning plan developed by the employer, college, and student. It involves a written agreement between the educational institution and a government agency, business or industry. Mentored and supervised by a workplace employee, the student achieves objectives that are developed and documented by the college that directly relate to specific occupational outcomes, using GIS. This may be paid or unpaid experience.
