Catalog description

In Grammar 1, students will focus on standard English grammar usage for academic purposes. Course includes instruction in verb tenses, parts of speech and basic S-V-O syntax. Instruction will emphasize communicative use in academic and nonacademic contexts. This course may be repeated for up to six hours of credit. Upon successful completion of ESOL 0395, students should register for ESOL 0396 / COMX 4096 / IEP 0292 - Grammar 2. Open only to nonnative English speakers.
