Topics address recently identified current events, skills, knowledge, and/or attitudes and behaviors pertinent to the technology or occupation and relevant to the professional development of the student. This course was designed to be repeated multiple times to improve student proficiency. Medical Module - This course explores the Medical Module content of EMS including special patients and EMS operations that reviews topics such as behavioral emergencies, pediatrics, geriatrics, obstetrics, WMD, hazmat, triage, MCI/ICS and other EMS operational content. This course topic is taken in conjunction with EMSP-1160. Preparatory Module - This course explores Preparatory Module content of EMS including EMS history, patient care documentation, lifting and moving, legal aspects of EMS, anatomy, physiology, pathophysiology, airway management, patient assessment and trauma. This course must be completed before Medical Module.
