Catalog description

A general survey of dance forms designed to create an appreciation of the vocabulary, techniques and purposes of the creative process. This course includes critical interpretation and evaluations of choreographic works and dance forms within cultural and historical contexts. Dance Appreciation: American Studies - This course relates topics in DANC 2303 to the historical, political, legal, economic, and cultural life of the United States. It is part of ACC's American Studies (AMS) program but is open to all students and counts as a standard DANC 2303 course.
