Catalog description

This course provides a survey of biological principles with an emphasis on human biology for the non-science major. Topics include evolution, ecology, plant and animal diversity, physiology, and natural history. The accompanying laboratory reinforces these concepts through hands-on investigation, experimentation, data analysis, and application of core biological techniques. BIOL 1407 and BIOL 1409 may not both be counted towards the same degree plan. BIOL 1408 is not a prerequisite for BIOL 1409; they may be taken in any order.
