Catalog description

The diversity and classification of life will be studied, including animals, plants, protists, fungi, and prokaryotes. Special emphasis will be given to anatomy, physiology, ecology, and evolution of plants and animals. The accompanying laboratory reinforces these concepts through hands-on investigation, experimentation, data analysis, and application of core biological techniques. BIOL 1406 is not a prerequisite for BIOL 1407; they may be taken in any order. BIOL 1407 and BIOL 1409 may not both be counted towards the same degree plan.
